AWS is simply a dumb pipe

I have learned that AWS cannot be trusted with persistent data. They can be used for compute resources for spot jobs, assuming you can get them to approve your limits (quotas..lol). But they cannot be trusted with anything that you actually want to be online 24/7 or need to have access to 24/7. I've learned this after a full 25 hours outage on my infrastructure entirely caused by AWS being trigger happy to call me a bad guy. I sent them so many documents to prove I'm not a bad guy, I'm just a man trying to start a new business. It still took 25 hours to get my data back.
